GuestGesture is a luxury gift and gesture service for both sides of the door — the guest arriving with something, and the host welcoming whoever's coming. We read the listing the way a returning guest would, propose a gesture from a curated catalog of luxury brands — Aesop, Byredo, Le Labo, Diptyque — and a real hand places it before the guest arrives. Not a gift basket service. No cellophane.

How much does a GuestGesture arrival gift cost?

Build a curated box — Threshold at $80 (a card and something edible), Considered at $140 (the parcel, the scent, the card), or Appointed at $220 (book, playlist, drawn map, the walk) — or shop luxury houses à la carte: Le Creuset and Byredo direct from the house, others sourced, shipped or placed by hand. Bespoke with no ceiling for milestones and special occasions.

How much lead time does GuestGesture need?

72 hours standard. 48 hours workable. 24 hours on the East Coast only with a small fee. Under 24 hours we politely decline.

Smythson's Panama travel journal is the most substantial take-with-them object in the GuestGesture appointed catalog. It goes on the nightstand in its tissue and box — indigo crocodile-print leather from the Bond Street workshop, gold-edged pages, signature blue feather pattern endpapers. The notebook a guest will still be using a decade after the stay, which is the point: the gesture should outlast the reservation confirmation. Smythson has been binding notebooks at 40 New Bond Street since 1887. The Panama has been in the range since 1902.
