GuestGesture is a luxury gift and gesture service for both sides of the door — the guest arriving with something, and the host welcoming whoever's coming. We read the listing the way a returning guest would, propose a gesture from a curated catalog of luxury brands — Aesop, Byredo, Le Labo, Diptyque — and a real hand places it before the guest arrives. Not a gift basket service. No cellophane.

How much does a GuestGesture arrival gift cost?

Build a curated box — Threshold at $80 (a card and something edible), Considered at $140 (the parcel, the scent, the card), or Appointed at $220 (book, playlist, drawn map, the walk) — or shop luxury houses à la carte: Le Creuset and Byredo direct from the house, others sourced, shipped or placed by hand. Bespoke with no ceiling for milestones and special occasions.

How much lead time does GuestGesture need?

72 hours standard. 48 hours workable. 24 hours on the East Coast only with a small fee. Under 24 hours we politely decline.

About this object

A printed playlist card on Smythson Bond Street stock is among the lightest arrival objects in the GuestGesture catalog and one of the most remembered. Twelve tracks — chosen for the city, the season, and the register of the rental — printed in mono on cream laid card with a single QR code. The guest scans it, presses play, and the stay has a score. We compose different playlists for a Charleston guesthouse in October and an Aspen cabin in February; the city and the light are in the sequence. Smythson card travels without creasing. A guest who plays it on their first drive will play it again the first day they're back home, and think of where they were.
