About Smythson
Founded at 133 New Bond Street, London, on September 29, 1887, by Frank John Smythson. Holds two Royal Warrants (HM The King and HM The Queen). Invented the 'Featherweight' diary in 1908 — the first diary light enough to carry daily. One of only seven brands worldwide with dual Royal Warrants. Clients include Madonna, Grace Kelly, and Prime Ministers back to Winston Churchill. Still makes all notebooks in England with signature blue Featherweight pages (80g/m²). Personalization: foil-stamp monogram, crest, initials, quotes.
Packaging: Navy blue cloth box with the Smythson name in gold — immediately recognizable as the brand that supplies the Crown. Tissue inside. The notebook arrives flat.
Placement fit: classical, minimal, urban. Objects from Smythson work in classical, minimal, urban settings — a classical is where we place them most.
